Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Byeleigh mobile application ("Byeleigh", "the app"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Byeleigh is
Byeleigh is an independent app that connects to a compatible bicycle over Bluetooth so you can view information and adjust supported settings. Byeleigh is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any bicycle manufacturer or its affiliates, and is provided independently of them.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your country of residence.
- You may only connect to and control a bike that you own or are otherwise authorized to operate.
- First-time pairing may require signing in with an account provided by your bike's manufacturer. Your use of that account and the manufacturer's services is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, not these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to access, connect to, or control any bike you are not authorized to use.
- Use the app in any way that is unlawful, unsafe, or that endangers yourself or others.
- Reverse engineer, tamper with, or interfere with the app except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the app to violate the terms of any third-party service it interacts with.
4. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with your bike, or that any setting it exposes is safe or appropriate for your use.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will the developer of Byeleigh be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, injury, property damage, or damage to your bike, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any.
6. Third-party services and devices
The app interacts with your bike and, when you sign in, with your manufacturer's services. We are not responsible for those devices or services, their availability, or any changes they make that affect the app's functionality.
7. Updates and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue the app (or any feature) at any time. Some features depend on third-party devices or services that may change or become unavailable outside our control.
8. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access to the app if you breach these Terms.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of GOVERNING_LAW, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
